Bristol, a French band inspired by the city
Bristol the band inspired by Bristol the city and in particular its trip-hop heritage is the new project of French musician, producer, film music composer and Nouvelle Vague founder member Marc Collin.
The first single is a cover of Portishead’s Roads.
Collin will be inviting young singers such as Jim Bauer (Roads), Clara Luciani and Prudence Fontaine to cover more tracks from the likes of Massive Attack, Tricky and Neneh Cherry, with an album planned for early 2015.
They promise “90s songs the way they could have been recorded as movie soundtracks from the 60s”.
