Louisiana launches new music film night

By Robin Askew  Friday Apr 1, 2016

Legendary Bristol live music venue the Louisiana is branching out into film exhibition with a new Tuesday night season of music-related flicks to appeal to all tastes. The first batch kicks off loudly with that great rock doc Lemmy. It also takes in Cameron Crowe’s wonderful love letter to classic rock, Almost Famous; unconventional Nick Cave drama-doc 20,000 Days on Earth; and the multiple award-winning Amy.

The screenings take place in the Louie’s intimate cellar, using high-quality speakers and projection equipment to establish a suitably rockin’ atmosphere. Here’s the first programme in full. Follow the links for more info, reviews and trailers. Doors opens at 7pm, each film is on screen at 8pm and admission is just £2.
