Kids and teens’ Halloween half term workshop brings together art and dance
Bringing together two distinct artforms, Anna Davis of South West Dance Theatre has joined forces with Bristol artist Sachin Babbar to host a Dance and Drawing Workshop for kids and teens on October 27.
Timed to coincide with half term, the event will have a Halloween theme, with fancy dress welcomed as long as the wearer can still move freely.
Participants will be invited to take part in dance and drawing sessions through the day, building up to the opportunity to draw people as they dance – a skill in which Babbar specialises.
is needed now More than ever
Opening with ballet and contemporary in the morning, the dance focus during the afternoon will turn to hiphop, commercial and acro; all sessions will be interspersed with pencil and charcoal drawing.
Experience is not a prerequisite to taking part, although those already with a foundational skillset will be afforded the opportunity to build on it.
Either half or full day tickets can be purchased, with all art materials provided, and discounts given for every two tickets purchased.
All participants will be encouraged to go home with their own “dance drawing masterpiece” at the end of the day.
