Many Hands Circus to showcase new production at Bristol Pride
Bristol-based company Many Hands Circus are known for their blend of contemporary circus, live music, and theatrical storytelling.
They will be presenting their new production Obscure Desires in the circus tent at Bristol Pride on July 12, as part of Pride Day on The Downs.
The show is inspired by The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, John Koenig’s compendium of newly invented words for “strangely powerful emotions”.

Taking the audience through five scenes, rich in movement, sound and gravity-defying circus, the company will transport you into “a poetic and emotionally resonant experience”.
Other highlights of the eclectic circus tent programme include a high-octane rope act from Tyrone & Danny, world-record hula hooper Amazi, Singaporean aerialist sensation Zaki Musa, queer pole performer Miss Tee Cakes, and some memorable Bristol Ballroom Community ‘walks’ across a range of categories.
Many Hands Circus: Obscure Desires will be performed on July 12 as part of Bristol Pride Day. For more information, visit www.bristolpride.co.uk or follow @manyhandscircus.
