Three Bristol bookshops shortlisted in British Book Awards 2025
Three bookshops in Bristol have been shortlisted as regional finalists in the British Book Awards 2025 Independent Bookshop of the Year.
Award organisers The Bookseller said that indie bookshops “act as beacons of hope on the high street with unrivalled entrepreneurship and creativity”.
“Independent bookshops from across the United Kingdom and Ireland continue to thrive with imagination and innovation boosting sales, amidst rising challenges on the high street.”
From a record number of submissions this year, 72 independent bookshops have been shortlisted as finalists across nine different regions and countries.
The 2025 South-West England finalists for The British Book Awards 2025 Independent Bookshop of the Year are:
- Bert’s Books, Swindon
- Bookhaus, Bristol
- Eastgate Bookshop, Totnes
- Falmouth Bookseller, Cornwall
- Folde Dorset, Dorset
- Gloucester Road Books, Bristol
- Liznojan Books, Tiverton
- Mr B’s Emporium of Reading Delights, Bath
- Storysmith, Bristol
- Winstone’s Hunting Raven Books, Frome
