Photo book to highlight Bristol’s queer nightlife
An upcoming book will be platforming Bristol’s queer club scene and its resurgence since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our Scene: An Archive of Bristol’s Queer Nightlife Rebirth, is a collaborative project between Conqueer and Bristol Pride and is due to come out in July.
The book will be a feast for the eyes as it captures the visuals, photos and memorabilia that make up queer nightlife in Bristol and puts it into this paper capsule.
is needed now More than ever
It will also give an insight into the stories of promoters who paved the way to this resurgence of queer joy in Bristol.
Designed by Willem Fox, Daniel Camargo-Grosso, George Valentine, and Beau Palmer, more than 30 groups and collectives have contributed to the book including Slaughterhaus and Horseplay.
To celebrate the book’s release, Conqueer is also hosting a launch party at Kit Form on July 10.
A ticket to the launch comes with a first-edition copy of Our Scene.
