People’s Art Fair returns to People’s Republic of Stokes Croft
The People’s Art Fair is returning to the PRSC with a special launch event on May Day, after which it will be open daily until May 11.
Originated as an open group exhibition and curated by the PRSC, the annual event is billed as “a celebration of culture and expressive art”, with participating artists from many disciplines showing and selling their work.
Alongside daily markets and the opportunity to chat to those artists staffing the fair, a host of special events are planned, including workshops, activities and open mics.

Amongst these, there will be consecutive nights hosted by The People’s Comedy and The People’s Poetry, ‘post-apocalyptic improv’ courtesy of Tales From The Wasteland, workshops in china decorating and collage, and a music jam hosted by the Immigrant Swing Family.
It’s a valuable opportunity to shop local, support artists, makers and small businesses, and to find out more about the abundance of creativity within Bristol.
The People’s Art Fair is at PRSC from May 2-11 at 12-6pm, with a special opening night event on May 1 at 6-9pm. For more information on individual workshops, markets and special events running during the fair, visit www.prsc.org.uk.
