Hong Kong Gromits in new exhibition

Sixteen of the one-off sculptures from the Hong Kong run of Gromit Unleashed will be on show to the public at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway from February 1.

Following the huge success of the Gromit trail in Bristol back in the summer of 2013, the city’s favourite canine went global, with 70 new sculptures appearing around the streets of Hong Kong each designed by a top name from the worlds of art, fashion, music and animation.

The ten-week exhibition will see a collection of the Gromits reunited for the first time since the final auction, with designs by both international artists and homegrown talent such as Aardman‘s Gavin Strange and Ashley Boddy.

Strange and Boddy will officially open the exhibition at 9.30am on Monday morning, and entry will be free with a suggested donation of £2 to Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity The Grand Appeal.
