A Bee Is For Life – Not Just For Christmas

Bristol graffiti artists Cheo’s special Christmas exhibition, A Bee Is For Life Not Just For Christmas, opens at the Upfest gallery on Friday.

Featuring 50 new pieces, the show will include large canvases, sculpture, giant installation pieces, Christmas cards, clothes and even children’s colouring books.

To promote the show, he has painted a new mural on the side of the Brewery Theatre featuring Father Christmas, an elf and a reindeer like you’ve never seen them before.

Upfest’s Stephen Hayles said: “Cheo is one of the top graffiti muralists in the UK. Coming from Bristol, his style has developed over the years with a definitive West Country twang.

“As an artist he has the ability through his characters to relate across both social and generational gaps and Bedminster will be getting some new festive large scale pieces to coincide with the show starting.”
