‘British Buffy’ filmed across Bristol

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Oct 18, 2016

A new show billed as “the British Buffy the Vampire Slayer” has the most Bristol locations of any television production shot in the city since Skins.

Comedy horror Crazyhead gets its premiere on E4 on Wednesday before being streamed globally on Netflix.

From BAFTA award-winning creator of Misfits, Howard Overman, Crazyhead follows the angst and exorcisms of an unlikely duo of demon hunters.

Crazyhead shot in locations across Bristol

Bristol Film Office’s Natalie Moore said: “It was fantastic to support Urban Myth Films for the filming of Crazyhead in the summer.

“Bristol has been home to a number of iconic fantasy-based shows over the years, such as Being Human and Doctor Who.

“This exciting new production, billed as a British Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will speak to young audiences, showcasing our modern and urban locations around the world when the series streams on Netflix after the UK premiere.”
