Watch brand sets high ambitions with new range honouring Everest hero
Two brothers, born and raised in Bristol, have set their sights high in the watch market with their latest range, which promises to combine sleek British design with Swiss precision.
Pompeak, founded in 2017 by Noah and Dave Pomphrey, has weathered the challenges of a global pandemic and a Brexit downturn, while successfully completing three kickstarter campaigns that have strengthened their position in the market.
The Pomphrey brothers have now launched their fourth kickstarter project, with the latest collection paying tribute to the British climber George Mallory, whose endeavours in scaling Everest cemented his legendary reputation.
In dedicating this latest series to Mallory, the brothers explained that they sought to embody the timeless British design, versatility, and endurance that Mallory himself represented.
The Mallory Collection aims to combine “timeless British design” with Swiss automatic movement, offering exceptional craftsmanship and precision.
With a durable case, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and self-winding Swiss movements, the co-founders of Pompeak believe the collection strikes the perfect balance of elegance, functionality, and durability.
“With meticulous attention to detail and high-quality materials, this timepiece is built to last, embodying the spirit of exploration and resilience inspired by George Mallory himself,” said the co-founders.

According to Noah and Dave, this is the most ambitious project Pompeak has undertaken to date, with a prototype that can stand shoulder to shoulder with high-end brands.
After receiving mentions and features in prestigious publications such as GQ, Esquire, and Gear Patrol, the brothers said their goal has always been to design the “ultimate dress watch that won’t break the bank”.
The brothers bring varied but complementary contributions to the company: Noah an accountant by trade brings a wealth of financial and business acumen, while Dave, with over 10 years of experience in aerospace design and engineering, brings fresh insights into the creative process.

The brand promises “unbeatable prices” for kickstarter backers, with the collection priced around £500.
