Two Bristol businesses win Queen’s Award for Enterprise

By Laura Collacott  Monday Apr 24, 2017

Two Bristol businesses are among the 176 to have been recognised for business excellence in the annual Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

Third Dimension Software took home a prize for innovation, while catering supplier Nisbets was honoured for its contribution to international trade.

Established in 1965, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise celebrates the UK’s small and medium sized businesses. Winners are visited by a Royal representative, invited to attend a reception at Buckingham Palace in July 2017 and allowed to use the Awards’ emblem for five years. Research by the University of Strathclyde, suggests that 73 per cent winners experience an increase in international sales.
