Bristol’s Latin Market wraps up another year
Bristol’s Latin Market will take over Broadmead one last time on Sunday before closing after another successful year.
The event, run by Latin American Community Support (LACS) in collaboration with Bristol’s Latin American community, has become a vibrant celebration of the South American culture in the city.
Since its launch in 2022, on a much smaller scale at St Paul’s Learning Centre, the market has grown into a colourful fixture of Bristol’s calendar, bringing together Latin food, music, art and community.
With growing footfall, the market moved to a more spacious Broadmead, running from April on the second Sunday of every month until the end of summer.

Taking place outside The Galleries as part of the Better Sundays initiative, it has drawn crowds eager to experience flavours from across South and Central America — from Colombian arepas and Peruvian ceviche to Venezuelan empanadas and Argentine sweets.
The market usually runs until September, but organisers have extended it into October, marking the final edition of the year on October 12.
The next season is expected to return in spring 2026.

Beyond its stalls and sizzling aromas, the Latin Market has become an important space of connection and cultural pride for Bristol’s growing Latin American community.
“The market was born out of a need,” said Gisela de Bernardo, representative of Latin American Community Support.
“In Bristol, there wasn’t a single place offering truly authentic Latin food that represented the diversity of our continent. Many of us dreamed of starting our own businesses — and the market gave us the support and visibility to make that possible.”

Each event features live music, dance performances, craft stalls and family-friendly activities that turn the city centre into a lively celebration.
“It’s not just a market, it’s a celebration of our identity and togetherness,” added de Bernardo. “We’re proud to bring a bit of Latin America to Bristol.”
Visitors can find the market in Broadmead, outside Sparks and The Galleries, from 11am to 4pm this Sunday.
A special performance by the samba troupe Samba Alegria and popular Latin band Los Costureros will bookend the final market in style.
