Unyfi and Ocean Estate Agents announce a sustainability partnership
Unyfi, a Bristol-based procurement consultancy, partnered with Ocean Estate Agents to assist with their sustainability initiatives.
Ocean Estate Agents, a recognised operator in Bristol’s property sector for over 40 years, is committed to improving its environmental footprint.
The partnership with Unyfi aims to achieve tangible results through sustainable energy procurement and proactive waste segregation.
To better understand its environmental impact, Ocean conducted a comprehensive carbon audit.
Unyfi firstly developed an energy procurement strategy to achieve the subsequent goals. The company has transitioned their entire estate to 100 per cent renewable electricity and biomethane green gas, generated from organic matter such as food waste.
Unyfi also conducted a waste management review to align with Ocean’s sustainability goals. This resulted in cost savings compared to their current waste solution and the implementation of food waste recycling across their branches.

“This partnership with Ocean demonstrates the importance of the Bristol community working together to find better business practices that align with broader environmental initiatives,” said Laurence Mace, co-director of Unyfi – photo: Unyfi
This shift not only helps offset Ocean’s carbon footprint but also supports circular economy practices by converting commercial waste into a valuable resource.
“Partnering with Unyfi has helped us achieve our goal of reducing our environmental impact by choosing better electricity, gas and waste management solutions. It’s been great to collaborate with a fellow Bristol-based procurement company who we can genuinely trust,” said Johnny Harris, head of training and sustainability of Ocean Estate Agents.

Laurence Mace, co-director of Unyfi, said: “This partnership with Ocean demonstrates the importance of the Bristol community working together to find better business practices that align with broader environmental initiatives.”
With England’s upcoming Simpler Recycling business waste regulations, it’s a great opportunity to improve business operations holistically and take the next step towards better business practices through the procurement consultancy’s range of services: waste management, energy procurement, and merchant services (card payment solutions).
