Tobacco Factory Theatres joins the Bristol24/7 Better Business network
Tobacco Factory Theatres is delighted announce its membership of the Bristol24/7 Better Business network.
Tobacco Factory Theatres is a space where stories are shared, creativity is sparked, and community thrives. Based in the heart of Southville, this beloved theatre sits on the first floor of the iconic Tobacco Factory building and has become a cornerstone of Bristol’s cultural life and identity.
The numbers tell a powerful story: Tobacco Factory Theatres (TFT) welcomes over 60,000 audience members annually through its doors for an exciting mix of in-house productions and visiting shows.
But equally important is the theatre’s role in nurturing independent artists and commissioning bold new work, helping to shape the creative landscape of the city and beyond.

The impact goes deeper than what’s seen on stage. TFT’s commitment to people is embedded in its mission to become a place of welcome and wonder.
Through its vibrant Get Involved programme, the theatre provides creative learning and participation opportunities to more than 3,000 Bristolians each year. Every week, around 200 children and adults join sessions that empower, inspire and connect.
“We are delighted to be part of the Bristol24/7 Better Business Network,” says artistic director and chief executive Heidi Vaughan.
“It’s a brilliant alignment with our values – a way to connect with likeminded businesses, with community at the heart of everything we do. We know that companies who invest in culture, invest in the communities where their employees live, work, and thrive.”
For TFT, joining the Network is a rallying call. In a climate where funding for the arts is increasingly under threat, the theatre remains defiant, driven by its supporters, beneficiaries, partners and purpose. As Vaughan explains:
“We believe deeply in the power of culture to shape place – to feed and question who we are, and to contribute to the life and vibrancy of our city.”

As they look to the future, TFT is inviting Bristol’s business community to stand alongside them – whether as collaborators, sponsors, audiences or advocates. Their hope is to forge partnerships that are meaningful, creative and rooted in a shared commitment to social impact.
In joining the Better Business Network, TFT is amplifying its belief that human connection, local pride and creative ambition can – and should – go hand in hand.
