Searching for a beer loving community hero on this Valentine’s Day
Looking for a beer loving community hero? Bringing people together and celebrating the city have been at the very heart of Bristol Beer Factory’s mission.
This Valentine’s Day, Bristol Beer Factory is offering people the chance to show some BBF love to someone making a difference in their community.
Whether it is a teacher, a charity worker, a volunteer, a carer or anyone else, anyone can nominate their hero. All that is required is that the nominee is someone who goes the extra mile for Bristol.
The company firmly believes that when people meet up for a beer, they connect with their community and build stronger bonds.

As Sam Burrows, the managing director of Bristol Beer Factory, said: “Our community means everything to us, which is why we donate 2 per cent of every brewery sale to local charities.”
Since May 2023, when the brewery launched its community-giving initiative, its 2 per cent donation has helped raise over £405k for groups making a difference across Bristol.
A panel of BBF staff will review the nominations and select the BBF Community Hero. The winner will receive a BBF Beer Club Membership (which includes a Mixed Case of BBF beer and a 10 per cent discount card for life, for every BBF venue) and a private tour of the new brewery, for up to 10 people, including three pints each. Two runners-up will each receive a BBF mixed case.

“Our community means everything to us, which is why we donate 2 per cent of every brewery sale to local charities,” said Sam Burrows, managing director at Bristol Beer Factory
Bristol is a vibrant city buzzing with culture, creativity and opportunity. Like the rest of the UK, inequalities are widespread, and many people experience significant disadvantage or deprivation.
Sam Burrows continued: “The system is broken, and those with the power to make change are not getting it right.
“Our community made us who we are, and we will always have their back. That’s why we donate 2 per cent from the sale of every keg, cask and can leaving our brewery yard to local charities. Together, we can raise up our city.”
