NOVUS Community Project continues to support Bristol schools
The NOVUS Community Project, which began with the aim of providing enriching experiences for children, has entered its 2025 programme, continuing its mission to help schools across Bristol.
The initiative focuses on delivering fully funded sessions that encompass sport, musical creativity, and wellbeing—ensuring that all children, regardless of their background, have access to valuable learning opportunities outside the classroom.
Since its inception, the project has made a notable impact, supporting over 50 schools and reaching more than 1,000 children in the region.
With an emphasis on inclusivity, the project provides SEND-focused programmes designed to inspire and engage every pupil, as well as physical activities that promote teamwork, resilience, and active participation.

“The NOVUS Community Project has been a game-changer for our pupils. The sessions are brilliantly run, engaging, and inclusive. Our pupils absolutely loved it!”
Alex Starkie, managing director of NOVUS, explained the core motivation behind the project.
He said: “We started this to give something back to the community and help children discover their potential.
“Schools are under increasing pressure, and we’re here to support them with something meaningful, not just a quick fix. The response has been incredible, and it’s a privilege to work with so many inspiring teachers and pupils.”
The NOVUS Community Project has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from schools, with 97 per cent of participating institutions stating they would participate again.

One Bristol headteacher commented: “The NOVUS Community Project has been a game-changer for our pupils. The sessions are brilliantly run, engaging, and inclusive. Our pupils absolutely loved it!”
For many schools, the project offers a unique opportunity to introduce fresh and exciting activities into the school day, without the concern of additional costs. As the 2025 programme shapes up to be the largest yet, schools are being urged to register early to secure their spots.
“The children were buzzing after their session last year. We didn’t hesitate to sign up again,” shared one returning school.

With limited slots available, schools interested in participating are encouraged to register their interest now. The NOVUS Community Project continues to grow, providing a valuable platform for schools to enrich the lives of their pupils and foster moments of joy, learning, and connection.
