Horror in the Caves: The Fog

Director
John Carpenter
Certificate
15
Running Time
89 mins

“There’s something in the fog!” Sandwiched between Halloween and Escape from New York, 1980’s The Fog is the overlooked gem in John Carpenter‘s oeuvre. It’s an atmospheric chiller about a bunch of undead seadogs who invade a small coastal town under cover of a mysterious fog to wreak revenge for the greedy actions of the locals’ forefathers.

Interesting fact: Halloween star Jamie Lee Curtis reunited with Carpenter to appear on screen with her mum Janet for the first time.

It’s back on screen in spooky old Redcliffe Caves as part of Bristol Film Festival‘s ever-popular Halloween week Horror in the Caves season. Go here for ticket information.
