Bristol Bad Film Club: Death Bed – The Bed That Eats + Neon Slime Mixtape

Director
George Barry
Running Time
77 mins

Imagine being scoffed by your own bed while in the throes of passion. That’s what, ahem, ‘visionary’ first-time director George Barry did with this low-budget 1977 shocker about a demonically possessed four-poster that consumes lovers. Nobody was interested and the film disappeared until it acquired the inevitable cult audience in the new millennium.

The Bristol Bad Film Club‘s Halloween blowout also includes a screening of The Neon Slime Mixtape – which is described thusly: “A hallucinogenic compilation that celebrates gore-soaked, gloop-drenched, direct-to-video genre anarchy from the 1980s and 90s. Coked-out demons! Extraterrestrial aerobics! Barbie dolls that kill!! Featuring digest versions of our favorite DIY slimers, ultra-rare trailers, and unseen clips from beyond the otherverse, The Neon Slime Mixtape will rip off your head and blast your spirit through the cosmos — and that’s only the first fifteen minutes.”
