Billed as “a rare evening of music, film and conversation charting the sounds of the city and the influence of South Bristol on British music”, this event is part of the city-wide Homes for Heroes 100 project marking a century of council housing, co-ordinated by the Bristol Cultural Development Project.

Hosted by Joe Muggs, music journalist and author of forthcoming book Bass, Mids, Tops: An Oral History of Sound System Culture, the event’s guests include filmmaker Gary Thompson of Cables & Cameras, Full Cycle Records co-founder Krust, Kala Chng and 3 Culture.

Filmwise, the evening includes exclusive unseen footage and visuals from the Full Cycle archive. There’s also an 80s-90s mash-up set from DJ Bunjy (producer and founder, LaidBlak).
