Nitrate Kisses + panel discussion
- Director
- Barbara Hammer
- Running Time
- 67 mins
A rare screening of the late Barbara Hammer‘s pioneering 1992 experimental documentary exploring the repression and marginalisation of LGBT folk since WW1. The experiences of four modern-day gay and lesbian couples are interwoven with historical footage, including 1903’s Lot in Sodom, which is hailed as the first example of queer cinema in the US.
This event is organised in partnership with the Bristol Experimental Expanded Film (BEEF) collective and includes screenings of work by its members as well as a panel discussion & Q&A. Go here for more information.
