A female twist on the John Wick formula, this faintly preposterous action flick stars Karen Gillan as a young assassin who teams up with her estranged assassin mother (Lena Headey) and her former colleagues (Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh and Angela Bassett) in order to save a young girl (Chloe Coleman) from even more assassins.
The plot is unlikely to yield any surprises to anyone who’s familiar with the likes of La Femme Nikita or Léon: The Professional, but there’s more than enough exaggerated cartoon gunplay to satisfy action fans.
