Bristol’s first parkour park being created
Bristol’s first DIY parkour park is being built on a previously unused area of concrete.
The site is currently taking shape beneath the M32 flyover close to Eastville Park and is just another sign of Bristol having one of the best parkour scenes in the UK, if not in the world.
The prime mover behind the park within the Eastville Interchange has been Owain_RJ, who describes himself as a “local antisocial wall climber”.
is needed now More than ever
On a video by _diebroke of the first elements of the park being built, it says that after Owain “initiated the idea, the movement cascaded”.
“The community is strong and the spots are iconic,” _diebroke says in the video about Bristol’s parkour scene.
“If anyone from the Bristol council is watching this, I just wanna say that we are more than happy to volunteer to make a real beautiful professional parkour park in Bristol.
“And we’d like to involve the community, maybe children who come from rough backgrounds, we could do a whole big project.
“Imagine, that would be amazing wouldn’t it?”

The team currently building the park say it has “immense potential”.
“History is unfolding in front of our eyes, can you believe it?” wrote _diebroke.
“Unbelievably unbelievable.”
Once complete, the new park is set to attract parkour athletes from far and wide who already use Bristol as a giant playground:
