Hallett-Young named manager of the month

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Oct 16, 2024

Following an incredible run of form in September, Bristol Rovers manager Nathan Hallett-Young has been awarded the FA Women’s National League manager of the month award.

September saw the Gas Girls win four of their five league matches, with the team currently sitting in fourth place in the fourth tier.

Hallett-Young has been manager since Rovers reformed their women’s side in 2019 as an initiative of the Bristol Rovers Community Trust, where he continues to work full-time.

Hallett-Young said that the award is “vindication” for the hard work that everyone involved with the Gas Girls has been doing.

He said: “This isn’t just my award. This goes across the whole team. It doesn’t happen if the players aren’t performing or the staff aren’t performing and working really hard, so I think it’s recognition for us all as a club.”
