Woman rescued from docks
Emergency services have rescued a woman from the Floating Harbour.
The Harbour Master’s office reported the individual appeared to be vulnerable and was refusing to engage with them.
At around 2.30pm on Saturday, Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called and struggled to get her into a rescue boat for around an hour with the woman appearing to resist rescue attempts.
is needed now More than ever
The team worked alongside alongside the harbour master and the police to ensure the safe rescue of the woman and to provide the relevant aftercare with the ambulance crew.
Avon Fire and Rescue are reminding the public of the dangers of entering the water even at this time of year, with undercurrents posing a risk to safety.
