Wallace strips down to his pants in new Christmas advert
Wallace and Gromit star in a Christmas advert where they give each other the same present and the hapless inventor strips down to his pants in front of some shocked carol singers.
The advert for Barbour follows Shaun the Sheep featuring in the clothing company’s commercials for the previous two years.
Miniature Barbour woollen hats, wellies and red festive tartan wrapping paper were all made by the Aardman team in Bristol.
The beanie that Wallace wears was made using tiny knitting needles with the 90-second film taking six months to create.
“Can I just point out, he’s not naked,” said director, Steve Harding-Hill, on Wallace’s accidental striptease.
“He’s wearing a string vest tucked into his underpants while wearing Barbour wellies.”
Production manager Liz Boyles added: “It’s a lovely film to be a part of. It gives you the real Christmassy feels.”
