Supporters rally for Ukraine

By Hannah Massoudi  Sunday Mar 2, 2025

Dozens of people gathered on College Green to send a clear message that they continue to stand steadfast behind Ukraine.

Many wrapped in the blue and yellow colours of Ukraine, they banded together not only as an act of solidarity but as a symbol of their investment in the future of global peace, security and justice.

The rally was organised by Antonina Grebeniuk, founder of Ukraine Aid and Welfare charity, with the goal of uniting the entire Ukrainian community living in the Bristol area.

Those who attended the gathering took it as an opportunity to express gratitude to the United Kingdom for supporting Ukraine.

Grebeniuk said: “The freedom Ukraine is fighting for is the freedom of the entire democratic world.

“Together, we are stronger. Together, we can stop aggression. Together, we can protect the future of generations to come.”

The rally took place on Sunday afternoon in front of City Hall
