New graphics are being places on vacant units on Park Street and Queen’s Road in Clifton at the start of a new five-year marketing campaign that hopes to give the area a new brand identity.
“We want to make Park Street and Queen’s Road a destination,” said Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District (BID) marketing specialist Maria Crayton at a launch event for local traders at Finisterre.
Crayton said that the graphics developed by Bristol design studio Fiasco aim to see “contemporary and heritage coming together”, giving people reasons to visit the area not just for shopping and also appealing to prospective business owners.
Although Park Street and Queen’s Road are the roads on the name of the campaign, other roads included in the scheme will include College Green, the Triangle and Park Row.
In the future, the Harbourside and Old City areas might also possibly be given their own brand identities, with funding and support for the projects coming from the Bristol City Centre BID.
