New Fish bar, Fisk & Frite coming to St Werburghs, Bristol

By Advertising Feature  Friday Oct 18, 2024

This week, from Monday the 14th to Friday the 18th, Fisk & Frite have invited St. Werburghs Primary School to their new Fish Bar from 3.15 to 6 pm everyday. This was a private, soft opening event that allowed the children and staff to try their food whilst also raising funds for the school.

Every child at St Werburghs Primary School, from Reception to Year 6, received a card to claim either Battered Cod & Chips or Fisk Cake and Chips, with a suggested donation of £3. All funds raised are going to the school.  To donate please visit their Instagram page or Friends of St Werburghs page.

Fisk & Frite send a huge thank you to all the children, parents/carers and staff who attended and supported this event – the team at Fisk & Frite said they were overwhelmed by the level of engagement and enthusiasm from the local community.

When Fisk & Frite open to the public, they’ll offer a variety of high-quality, sustainable fish options along with a unique and healthy selection of side dishes. In addition to the classic battered cod and haddock, they will offer a large selection of seafood options, including mussels, prawns, squid, sea bass and sea bream. Their fish will then be complemented by a range of sides, including hand-cut chips, dirty chips, rice, salad and tomato bulgur pilaf. They want customers to be able to join for the classics but also have lighter, unique choices available for a more premium fish-and-chip experience. Additionally, their entire menu will feature gluten-free fish, ensuring they meet the needs of customers with dietary restrictions.

Fisk & Frite are thrilled to establish partnerships with businesses committed to environmental conservation, with a focus on protecting both our planet and oceans. Their fish supplier collaborates with the Marine Conservation Society, and Fisk intends to partner with similar charities in the future. Their overarching aim is to improve the quality of life in St Werburghs by supporting local residents and working alongside other businesses, schools, and charities.

Fisk & Frite has been keeping the public informed via their Instagram profile by sharing photos and insights about their upcoming plans. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th, when they will unveil their complete menu and begin accepting online orders. Although they have a strategy in place for the 26th, they will continue to provide updates on their social media channels to keep everyone informed on the details.

Stay tuned to their Instagram page for updates!
