More new loos installed next to Floating Harbour
Temporary public toilets are now available on both sides of the Floating Harbour.
A fortnight after toilets were installed on Hannover Quay, new loos are now in place almost directly opposite on the other side of the docks close to Brunel’s Buttery.
They are open daily from 8.30am to 9.30pm and include a disabled unit with baby change facilities.

The new toilets have been welcomed, but several people have pointed out that they have been opened after the city council closed many of Bristol’s public toilets.
A contract between the city council and Richmond Event Management reveals that the two temporary public toilet facilities have an estimated total value of £133,633 for an initial two months, compared to the council’s annual saving of £440,000 for the closure of toilets across the city.
Writing on Twitter, Fox & Fowweather said: “Right in the same location as the public toilets that were closed a few years ago.”
Shane Morgan also tweeted: “This is good, thank you. Can they be open earlier though? From 6.30am there is significant foot traffic from commuters, walkers, runners through those areas who still rely on bushes, alleys and the street.”
