Investigation after cars damaged in Hanham

Police have arrested a man after more than 20 cars were damaged in Hanham overnight.

Officers were called to Hencliffe Way and Rowan Way, at 11.40pm on Monday after reports that a man was in the street shouting and damaging cars.

A 44-year-old man from Hanham, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

Inspector Andy Peppin said: “We have officers in the area identifying damaged cars and taking details from the owners.

“So far we have identified more than 20 vehicles have been damaged but if anyone living in the Hencliffe Way area thinks they have been affected we’d like to hear from them.
