In photos: Shredenhams x Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater

Tony Hawk is one of the most famous skateboarders in the world.

For over 25 years, video gamers have been able to play as him, and other pro skaters, in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater video game series.

To celebrate the release of the latest game in the series – Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, which came out on Friday – video game publisher Activision kicked off a day of activities for young people at the new Shredenhams skatepark on Broadmead.

Festivities started at 11am on Saturday where launch party attendees got to skate at Shredenhams for free as well as learn from professionals and play Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 on X Box.

Bristol24/7 photographer Rob Browne captured some of the fun.

Street skateboarders Alex deCunha and Rianne Evans are set to come to Shredenhams later on Saturday evening, when the launch party will come to a close with live music and the introduction of a brand new ramp at Bristol’s newest skatepark.
