Elf and safety gone mad

By Bristol24/7  Wednesday Nov 25, 2015

Dozens of elves are taking to the streets of Bedminster in the run-up to Christmas.

The Bedminster Elves’ Elf & Safety Office was revealed next to Asda on Wednesday evening. It’s an interactive, purpose-built wooden building which features lighting effects, falling snow and an intercom system to connect elf seekers to an elf and safety representative.

The office is one of the lead features for the festive project, which has seen many of the elves designed by schools and community groups.

There will also be a Santa’s Workshop, Santa’s Mailbox and an Elf Hotel as well as the 100 wooden elves positioned throughout Bedminster’s streets.

Several of the most photogenic elves have selfie sticks in hand, for that all important Christmas sELFie.

All of the elves will be in place in time for North Street Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 28 and stay until the end of the year.
