E-scooters and bikes can now be rented 24 hours a day
Riders can now use electric bikes and scooters 24 hours a day across Bristol.
The services, which previously restricted riders to a midnight curfew, were officially extended on Wednesday morning.
Dott, the service provider for Bristol and Bath’s e-scooters and bikes, which took over from Voi after their merger with Tier, hopes that the change will improve access for users in the area.

Iqbal Ahmed, the head of public policy for Dott UK and Ireland, said: “By expanding our service to operate 24/7, the West of England will join cities like Nottingham, Paris and Berlin in offering its residents greater flexibility and offering a safe, sustainable travel solution for those working late.”
Dott has promised to strengthen its in-app safety measures, after Bristol City Council estimated 100 road traffic incidents were caused by e-scooters in 2024.
The company promises to remind riders of the importance of visibility, traffic rules and not riding under the influence.
“Safety is at the heart of our approach, and we’re committed to encouraging responsible riding in the region,” said Ahmed.
Dott is working in partnership with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority on the curfew changes.
Metro mayor Helen Godwin said: “We know how handy e-bikes and e-scooters are for some people to get around towns and cities. They are an important and growing part of our transport mix.
“I know that Dott moving to 24/7 will be welcomed particularly by people who work night shifts in the West. Workers in our hospitals and in hospitality will soon have more options to choose from.”
