DJ Derek map leads to Dursley

Before DJ Derek went missing on July 11 he made several return trips by bus to Thornbury, data from his Travel Card has confirmed.

A map found by his family has led to them to believe he also travelled to Dursley in Gloucestershire.

The map in question was marked with an ‘H’ where Vale Community Hospital is based within the town.

The 73-year-old’s  family believe he could have gone to visit a friend or for an appointment himself. They have asked the hospital authorities whether he was an outpatient there or a visitor. 

DJ Derek’s great niece Jennifer Griffiths says this latest development could be “really significant”.

Graffiti artist Stewy has also created this new poster for the missing DJ, whose stencil of Derek features on the new Bristol Pound five pound note:
