Community fundraiser to mark secondary anniversary of teen’s death
19-year-old Eddie King Muthemba Kinuthia was fatally stabbed on July 21 2023, just a few days shy of his 20th birthday.
In January, three men were charged with his murder although in June one defendant’s charges were dismissed.
Now, two men remain in custody ahead of their trial for Eddie Kinuthia’s murder, which is due to take place in October.

For £60, attendees will enjoy a three-course dinner, inspired by Eddie’s favourite dishes, raising money “in aid of creating safer spaces for young people in central Bristol”.
Those who cannot attend the dinner have the option to take part in a raffle, with prizes including Forwards Festival tickets and personal training sessions.
The fundraiser is being organised by the Eddie King Foundation.
In an Instagram post about the fundraiser, the Eddie King Foundation added: “There is no future without children.
“Our governments and local councils are failing our children, and have been for a long time, and us as people, as conscious beings, need to take action and engage in our communities to stand together and work together to protect our children and young people…
“To help them feel safe, seen, heard and most importantly loved.”
Raffle and dinner tickets for the fundraiser are still available
