Cheesegrater bridge closes for three weeks
Meads Reach Bridge, better known as the cheesegrater, closed on Monday for three weeks.
The closure is to allow for essential maintenance and strengthening works to ensure “the continued safety and integrity” of the bridge.
The 55-metre-long bridge opened in 2008 and links St Philip’s and businesses including Small Goods with Temple Meads.

A spokesperson for Avison Young Property Management Consultancy said: “We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of all visitors and staff during these essential works, which are being carried out to ensure the continued safety and integrity of the structure.”
