Charity cycle challenge as part of North Bristol NHS Trust’s Thank You Fortnight
NHS staff are teaming up with community organisations to raise funds for Southmead Hospital Charity during North Bristol NHS Trust’s annual ‘Thank You Fortnight’.
On Wednesday, two spin bikes provided by Horfield Leisure Centre operators EveryoneActive will be kept spinning in Southmead Hospital’s Brunel atrium for eight hours for a charity cycle challenge.
The money raised through this challenge will support the trust’s research fund which helps the development of innovative healthcare solutions for the future.
is needed now More than ever
North Bristol NHS Trust chief people officer, Peter Mitchell, said: “Here at NBT we know how important it is for our staff to feel recognised and appreciated.
“We have lots of ways of celebrating our staff all year round, but each year we hold a thank you fortnight to encourage people to have a focus on showing their gratitude.”
Participants in the cycle challenge will include doctors, nurses and catering staff alongside Gloucestershire cricketers, police officers and Bristol Rovers mascot Captain Gas.
