Celebrating St George’s Day in Bristol
A pub aptly located on St George’s Road has had a patriotic makeover to celebrate St George’s Day.
Scaffolding has been erected outside the Myrtle Tree close to the bottom of Jacob’s Wells Road in order to display several flags showing the white and red St George’s cross.
‘Happy St George’s Day Bristol’ reads one while another also features the crests of Bristol City and England’s football team.

Elsewhere in Bristol, the Three Lions in Bedminster will have music on Wednesday from Shannon Kitchen and Billy T to celebrate England’s patron saint.
St George’s Day is “our day, let’s celebrate it”, said Three Lions landlord Sean Donnelly.
