Body found in Bristol river

The body of a man was recovered from the River Frome in Bristol on Saturday.

Police cordoned off a section of Riverside Park along the river near Wellington Road, St Jude’s, on Saturday morning as divers removed the body.

The man was due to be identified on Monday following a post-mortem examination. Police say they are currently treating the death as unexplained.

Officers also said the body was not that of missing DJ Derek or Paul Griffiths

Police asked anyone with information to call Bristol Investigations on 101 quoting log number 425 of Saturday.
