70 now arrested following unrest outside Bridewell Police Station

Police say they have now arrested a total of 70 people in connection with clashes in Bristol city centre on March 21.

The latest person to be detained was a 21-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder on Tuesday.

Officers say he was the 70th person arrested in connection with the events in front of Bridewell Police Station that made headlines around the globe.

He has since been released under investigation and police say further enquiries will now take place.
