Shop of the Week: Good Timez Reloaded, Kingswood

By Rhiannon Lodato  Friday Jun 6, 2025

Jermaine and Melike, a husband and wife team, invite customers into a shop floor selling everything from bracelets and necklaces to crystals and dreamcatchers, perfect for anyone interested in connecting with their spiritual side.

Having managed the shop since 2016, Melike, now owner, has established Good Timez Reloaded as a cornerstone of the community.

Her primary aim was to bring light into the shop and create a warm environment for customers.

Along with her sister, Mary, Turkish-born Melike takes great pride in making beaded and crystal jewellery both for the shop and to order.

The back of the shop, however, is a reiki healing oasis.

After struggling with infertility, Melike turned to reiki practice for answers and solace, something she now endeavours to share with her local community.

She offers spiritual counselling and reiki healing sessions to groups and individuals and has taken on a handful of students who she is training in reiki practice.

Having previously been a social worker, Jermaine was frustrated with the lack of space available for children and adults who get easily overstimulated in day-to-day environments.

Jermaine remembers having to travel hours to venues that accommodated the needs of easily overstimulated children and is hoping that his sensory room will change this.

The Glastonbury Festival-inspired space offers a respite from the stimulation of daily life and has calming music, soothing visuals and aromatic incense.

Sadly, around Christmas 2024, Good Timez was struggling financially and was facing closure.

But, after sharing their struggles with the community, the husband and wife duo were overwhelmed with the support.

Melike said the support they received moved her to tears.

Good Timez Remastered has established itself as a pillar of the community in Kingswood.
