Floating saunas to launch in Bristol harbour
Bristol’s harbour is set to host floating saunas at the end of November.
Running a four-week pop-up in the Floating Harbour, Skuna Boats will be bringing the “unique wellness experience” to the city from November 21 to December 14.
The pop-up will consist of two electric sauna boats which are available for community or private use, promising to “blend the restorative power of heat and cold-plunge therapy with the tranquillity of Bristol’s waterways.”
Skuna Boats, permanently stationed at Canary Wharf, London, aims to combine “wellness, novelty and social connection” with their boating experiences.

Founder and chief executive officer, Stuart Thomson, said: “We’re thrilled to bring Skuna Boats to Bristol.
“This city’s vibrant culture and love for the water make it the perfect home for our floating saunas.
“We’re excited to offer a new way for people to relax, recharge and connect with the harbour in a new way.”
The company says it’s keen to give back to the community, offering discounted rates for communities groups, charities and those working in sectors like hospitality or the NHS.
They will also be giving away free sauna experiences to local individuals and community groups, which can be nominated by the public.
Thomson continued: “Our sauna boats blend novel fun with genuine wellbeing benefits, and there’s something truly special about stepping into the heat of a sauna while drifting through the heart of a city.
“Bristol feels like the ideal place to take our sauna boats to next”.
