Fashion and vibes at Club395

By Emily Brown  Friday Aug 22, 2025

Club395 is a living, breathing hub for creativity. Fashion is fast becoming one of its defining beats. From September, the club will transform into a monthly independent marketplace.

Between ten and fifteen vendors will set up stalls across the venue, bringing a selection of curated streetwear, handmade jewellery and upcycled garments.

While most sellers will be Bristol-based, Corin Bush, one of the four co-owners of the venue, will keep the door open to talent from anywhere.

The markets are inspired by one of the first chapters in Corin’s long-running commitment to spotlighting emerging designers.

Back in 2018, he launched Culture Con, a monthly event that blended fashion pop-ups with music and art, giving small brands a platform alongside DJs and live performances.

It ran successfully until 2020, drawing crowds who came as much for the clothes as the culture.

“We’d love to do more fashion shows here too”, he says. “It’s a space that works for it – big enough for a runway, small enough to feel connected.”

At Club395, the DNA of Culture Con lives on, but with an even more versatile stage and a growing network of creatives.

Corin’s relationship with fashion began long before Club395’s opening night, however. “I started out buying and selling clothes”, he explains. “That grew into running my own online store, doing pop-ups in Selfridges and eventually launching my own monthly fashion event called Culture Con.”

After Culture Con, Corin expanded to creating his own store No Entry, which was temporarily on Park Street and now continues online, offering custom made, high end jewellery by the man himself.

After succeeding with No Entry, Corin and his friend Francis Reilly set to creating their dream in Art Club – a venue in Broadmead which offered much-needed studio space for creatives in the city.

However, they ultimately ended up collaborating with Ridwanul (Ray) Kabir and Keiran (Kwazi) Gournet-Moore, a local musician, to combine their Art Club with the already established 395 to create the one and only Club395.

Corin’s style reflects this journey.

Once a self-described “hypebeast” – think Supreme hoodies and Palace caps – he shifted towards Japanese archival streetwear, then smart casual tailoring.

Today, his look is a personal blend of all three, pulled from a wardrobe he’s been building for over a decade. He has now mastered the high end version of smart casual. “I don’t have one set style”, he says. “It’s more about mixing the different phases I’ve gone through.”

The interiors of Club395 are as eclectic as its markets.

Local artist Pablo Naco’s large-scale paintings line the walls, while a mysterious giant donut sculpture (yes, donut) holds court in one corner.

Club395’s design is in constant evolution and Corin wants it to grow into something visually cohesive without losing its raw, creative energy.

“It’s meant to be a breeding ground for creativity”, he says. “Fashion’s part of that –  whether it’s markets, shows, photo shoots, or collaborations between designers and musicians.”

Each of the pillars that hold up the venue are covered in artwork designed by a different Bristol-based artist and Club395 continues to welcome talent into their space.

As they continue to grow as a venue for all kinds of creativity, Corin is keen to expand the monthly markets into a stronger platform for independent artists, including seasonal showcases, pop-up runways and collaborations with local brands.

With some collaborations already brewing, Corin is ready for Club395 to become a recognised fixture on Bristol’s fashion map.

“It’s about building this space where people can create, connect and actually see their work come to life in front of an audience,” he says.

Whether you fancy a haircut, a trip to a cafe, a tattoo studio (coming soon), a music event or just want to witness the creativity taking then Club395 is the place for you.
