15 hours of funded childcare increases to 30 hours in September 2025! *
Starting from September 2025, the UK government is expanding its funded childcare offer. Eligible working families will be entitled to 30 hours of funded childcare per week for children aged 9 months up to school age – doubling the current amount for many families.

is needed now More than ever
Currently, 30 hours of funded childcare is only available once a child turns 3. However, from September, this entitlement will begin from 9 months old. This significant increase will greatly benefit families, allowing them to access funding as soon as their child starts nursery.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the changes:

What Does This Mean for You?
This means more flexibility, more support, and more time for families to focus on what matters most. Working parents who meet the eligibility criteria could soon benefit from significantly reduced childcare costs. Your Co-op Little Pioneers is proud to offer these 30 funded hours across all of its Bristol nurseries – and does so in a way that works for each family.

Your Coop Little Pioneers recognises that every family has different needs. That’s why they offer flexible options for using funded hours, including the ability to spread them across 52 weeks of the year rather than limiting them to term time.
Don’t Forget Tax-Free Childcare
In addition to funded hours, families might also be eligible for the Tax-Free Childcare scheme. For every £8 paid into a childcare account, the government contributes an additional £2 – helping the money go further.
