Under fire Pret A Manger to open biggest Bristol cafe
A former Chinese restaurant on Baldwin Street is being turned into Bristol’s biggest Pret a Manger, as a second customer who is believed to have died after an allergic reaction to a Pret a Manger product has been named.
Celia Marsh, 42, a dental nurse from Melksham in Wiltshire, died after eating a “super-veg rainbow flatbread” bought from the Pret on Stall Street in Bath which contained a yoghurt that was supposed to be dairy-free but was found to be contaminated with dairy.
News of her death followed the inquest of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, 15, who died following a severe allergic reaction after eating a Pret baguette bought at Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport which did not list the ingredients.

Pret a Manger’s new Baldwin Street store is currently being fitted out in what was most recently Han restaurant and before that Masa and Riverside Oriental.
Bristol currently has Pret a Manger cafes in Cribbs Causeway, Cabot Circus, Broadmead, Victoria Street and Queen’s Road.
