Plain Crispy pop-up at Stock Exchange Bakery

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Jan 20, 2015

There will be 20 new items on the menu at the Stock Exchange Bakery on Wednesday. And every single one of them will be a different flavour of crisp.

Plain Crispy is a novel idea which started in London and is now coming to Bristol.

The pop-up sees customers choosing from a variety of crisp flavours and different brands. They then select a plain or granary house bun and eat a crisp sandwich that will take them back to their school days.

“Nostalgia and comfort all wrapped up in a bun,” says bakery owner George Turner, who might make the pop-up permanent depending on its popularity.

The bun costs £3, with the addition of cheese, ham or our homemade coleslaw for an extra 60p each. Everything can be eaten in the bakery or taken away.
