Gin distillery donates hand sanitiser to NHS
A gin distillery near Bristol has been producing hand sanitiser for local authorities, hospitals and nurseries during the coronavirus pandemic.
6 O’Clock Gin have also made their hand sanitiser available to the public on their website, with their first batch of 175 bottles selling out in less than two hours.
The Thornbury distillery are also donating the sanitiser to the NHS, matching the volume of every 250ml bottle sold to customers.
“We are doing everything we can to protect people in our community during the coronavirus outbreak,” said 6 O’Clock Gin managing director, Michael Kain.
“I am extremely proud of my team and how they have rallied together to create a product that is very much needed at this time.”
The £5 hand sanitiser is 80 per cent ABV and comes in a recyclable 250ml Bristol blue bottle, inspired by 6 O’clock Gin’s London Dry bottle.
