Cider Shop launches subscription service
Bristol Cider Shop has launched the UK’s first cider subscription service, with members signing up to receive a hand-picked selection of award-winning cider every two months.
The aim of the club is to showcase the quality and variety of cider made by the best producers in UK. Membership costs £39 every two months plus £10 for delivery. Each box contains 12 different bottles along with tasting notes and background information both about the ciders and the cider makers.
“We’re trying to recreate the experience of coming to one of our cider tastings, where people not only get to taste some great cider but they also learn about how it’s made and the characters that make it,” says Bristol Cider Shop’s Pete Snowman.

If you would prefer the tastings within the Christmas Steps shop, these cost £20 per person for a maximum of 14 people. They last 90 minutes and include 10 award-winning ciders plus bread and cheese. You start with a welcome drink and an introduction to cider, and then go on to taste everything from traditional scrumpy to Champagne-style cider and cider brandy.
