A celebration of food ideas

By Karen Johnson  Sunday Sep 28, 2025

The UK’s first farm bus, workshops, a producer village and insightful conversations are some highlights of FŌDA, a festival of food ideas held at Arnolfini across Saturday and Sunday.

An initiative by Josh Eggleton of the Pony Group, the festival is inspired by Ireland’s Food on the Edge festival and is a chance to have meaningful conversations around food.

Previously only open to the hospitality industry, the 2025 edition of FŌDA is open to all members of the public.

A one-of-its-kind fish printing workshop was one of the attractions at the festival

The festival also saw the debut of the Pony Farm Bus, a refurbished double-decker bus with potted plants, demonstrations and workshops.

Also positioned along Narrow Quay were some of the South West’s best producers, each exhibiting quality products for visitors to taste and purchase.

The Arnolfini auditorium also transformed into a playground for food ideas, as four panels – salt, fat, acid and sweet – discussed the most pressing issues of the food industry.

FŌDA’s 2025 edition will conclude with the sweet panel on Sunday afternoon.
